WELCOME TO A NEW ERA

Dear friends and Comrades,

The All India Executive/Associate Committee Meeting of AIACEGEO was held at Bangalore on 30.06.2018.

53 Delegates from various parts of the Country representing 24 Units of our Association participated.

The GS of Hyderabad Unit and Com. Vigneswara Raju from Hyderabad also attended as Special Invitees.

The meeting took note of various developments/non-developments in the department pertaining to the Cadre and passed important resolutions.

Some of the units insisted that due to the neglect of the cadre before and after the implementation of GST, demoralisation of the cadre at the grass root level, a boycott of the GST day would serve to draw the attention of the Government to our plight.  However, considering that the new Chairman Shri. S. Ramesh was taking charge only on 30.06.2018/01.07.2018, it was decided that we should give him some time to take stock of the situation.  It was also widely felt that he would be responsive to the grievances of the cadre.

Submissions on Pay Anomaly of Superintendents

Dear friends and Comrades, In the meeting convened by the CBEC under the chairmanship of Member (Admn), we have projected the pay anomaly pertaining to our cadre.  While we are yet to get back the parity with DySP of CBI, we have been further overtaken by the Superintendents of Posts and Section officers in the CSS. Meetings with MOS (R) and Member (Admn) by our JAC

On 14 th, the JAC of Inspector based Associations in CBIC, consisting of the IRS (IDT)OA,   AIACEGOE and AICEIA, met with the Hon’ble MOS Shri. Pon Radhakrishnan and submitted a memorandum to him.   Scanned copy of the memorandum is given above.   The Minister gave a patient hearing and also asked for details of what classification of goods was, how the clash of interests could happen in the field in enforcement of the GST law uniformly etc.   He assured to take up the matter with the concerned to enable a proper policy decision in the matter. On 15 th the JAC met with the Member (Admn) Shri. S.
